We care about your privacy
Who we are
This website, copemer.com, is run by COPEMER LTD, St Christopher House, 126 Ridge Rd, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 1PT, United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal data described here. For any question about your data, email copemer@copemer.com.
What we collect, and why
When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number and company (if you give them) and your message. We use them only to answer your enquiry and, if we then work together, to deal with you as a client or supplier. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, or taking steps towards a contract at your request.
When you email, call or message us (including WhatsApp), we receive what you send us and use it in the same way.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. It is used only to deliver the site and protect it against abuse, and is kept for a short period.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our fonts and images are served from our own site, so visiting it does not send your data to Google, Facebook or any other third party. The calculator works entirely in your browser: nothing you type into it is sent to us. Links to our LinkedIn and Facebook pages only take you to those sites if you click them.
Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We use a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract:
- Vercel, which hosts this website and handles the contact form;
- Supabase, which hosts the database where we keep enquiries and client records, in London (UK);
- Google Workspace, our email provider.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. When they do, it is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any business relationship that follows, and records of transactions for as long as the law requires (for example for accounting). We then delete them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, object to how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. To do so, email copemer@copemer.com; we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
