With over 40 years of experience, Copemer facilitates the transactions between bunker suppliers and ship owners or charterers. Recognised for our personal and responsive client care, we support our clients in creating bespoke solutions to cater to their exacting needs at ports worldwide.
Copemer was founded in Paris by the late André Demart whose work and integrity were recognised by all. We endeavour to continue Mr. Demart’s legacy going forward as well as uphold his personal core values of organisation, precision and adaptability.
Furthermore, in 2021, Copemer started looking into a solution for offsetting Carbon and came across a method to absorb CO2 using Kelp which is a very efficient way and cleans the ocean.
The shipping industry produces 30% of the global CO2 . The IMO (International Maritime Organization) has adopted mandatory measures to reduce emissions by 40% of GHG (Green House Gases) by 2030.
We are now working with farmers to grow and harvest kelp for various products, such as plastic, fiber, as an energy source, and so on.

I am Olivia and I am in charge of the business’ day-to-day operations as well as managing the Copemer team.
I have a strong passion for shipping starting from a young age. After completing my studies at the renowned HEC Montreal, I continued my education at Maersk International Shipping Education (M.I.S.E.).
I am a marine industry expert and I have worked as a Trader for World Fuel Services and as a Bunker Purchaser for Maersk Oil Trading.
I am a keen linguist, Crossfit enthusiast, and I am always ready to answer any queries you may have.
Natasha Yamamura
Bunker Broker & Managing Partner
My name is Natasha and I joined Copemer in 2013 as a Bunker Broker and later became the Managing Partner with Olivia.
I completed the M.I.S.E program while working at A.P. Moller Maersk Group in a number of specialties, including container export, reefer-container marketing, and line management.
After leaving Maersk, I graduated from ESCP Europe in London and Paris with a Master’s in Business Administration. I then joined Copemer.
I have over 10 years experience in shipping and brokerage and I believe that my friendly demeanour and hard-working nature will support you in booking your bunker with ease.
